Comorin, the acclaimed multi-cuisine Indian restaurant brand under EHV International and Old World Hospitality, has officially opened its Mumbai outlet at Peninsula Corporate Park, Lower Parel. The launch marks the brand’s second location after its successful seven-year run at Gurugram’s Horizon Centre.
Spread across a meandering layout designed by Russell Sage Studio and Incubus, the Mumbai restaurant carries forward the brand’s distinctive approach to Indian regional cuisine. The interiors feature a curved floor plan with communal tables, a signature glowing bar, and varied seating formats catering to both group and intimate dining. A distinctive feature is its backdoor access to Nilaya Anthology’s skylit Orangery, which will serve as a dedicated events and spillover space post-store hours.
The Mumbai menu continues Comorin’s mission to spotlight nostalgic Indian dishes with contemporary culinary techniques. Dishes such as Aam Kadhi with Bhakarwadi, Guava Sabzi, Salted Chikki Kulfi, and Malai Toast present familiar flavours with refined twists. The restaurant offers a balanced spread across vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, with small, large, and extra-large plates curated to meet varied diner preferences.
Comorin’s beverage program remains a key highlight, led by head of bars Varun Sharma and sommelier Kevin Rodrigues. The bar menu includes clarified cocktails, innovative infusions, and house-made liqueurs, while Rodrigues’ wine list offers over 50 varietals, all available by the glass using Coravin systems. A selection of in-house cordials, shrubs, non-alcoholic beverages, and specialty coffees also support the brand’s commitment to quality and sustainability.
Brand chef Dhiraj Dargan leads the culinary operations, continuing his long-standing association with OWH. With previous recognition including the title of “India’s Best Restaurant Bar” by 30 Best Bars India for its Gurugram outlet, Comorin Mumbai is expected to follow suit as a prominent addition to the city’s evolving gastronomic landscape.
