Bengaluru’s dining landscape has been further strengthened with the launch of Foo’s second restaurant in the city, as announced by the brand’s team. The expansion has been described as part of a broader South India growth strategy, with the city being identified as one of the brand’s most important markets. The decision to open the outlet at Orion Mall, Brigade Gateway, was said to be influenced by the strong mall culture and diverse communities in North-West Bengaluru.
It was explained that the new restaurant has been spread across 3,320 sq ft and has been designed to seat 110 guests. According to the brand, the space has been crafted with Foo’s signature contemporary Asian aesthetic. A double-height entrance overlooking a water body has been highlighted as one of the key visual elements. The outdoor lakeside bar has also been mentioned as a feature expected to draw significant attention, especially for its photo-friendly ambience. The area has been further elevated with floral installations, bold red tones, tall structures inspired by Asian roofs and lantern-style lighting.
Inside the restaurant, warm rattan lighting and a transparent glazing screen have been introduced to maintain a soft visual connection between the interior and exterior spaces. These design details have been described as part of the brand’s effort to retain a cohesive indoor-outdoor dining experience.
The menu, which features more than 100 dishes, has been confirmed to include Foo’s well-known offerings such as sushi, dim sum, Nikkei-inspired creations and Peruvian ceviche. Classics including the Blue Butter Japanese Rice with Yellow Curry, Foo Chilli Chicken, and Truffle Lobster Dumplings have been retained. The beverage programme has been highlighted with favourites such as the Yuzu Negroni, Foo King and Boba teas. A curated sake selection has also been included. It has additionally been noted that Foo Brew, a Japanese rice beer, will soon be introduced for Bengaluru’s diners, marking another milestone in the brand’s expansion journey.
