Shiro at UB City is set to celebrate World Sushi Day with a three-day omakase-inspired sushi festival in Bengaluru from June 18 to 20, 2026. The experience will offer diners unlimited access to a curated selection of the restaurant’s signature sushi creations at INR 599 plus taxes per person.
The festival has been designed around the Japanese dining philosophy of omakase, where guests place their trust in the chef rather than choosing from a fixed menu. Through this format, Shiro aims to introduce diners to a more intimate and chef-led way of experiencing sushi.
Curated by Chef Priyank Singh Chouhan, Culinary Director at JSM Corporation, the menu will bring together some of Shiro’s popular sushi offerings. Guests will be able to enjoy options such as Crispy Spicy Avocado Maki, Chilli Pepper Maki, Vegetarian Spicy California Kappa, Miso Ceviche Maki, Katsu Chicken Maki, Teriyaki Chicken Maki, Spicy Tuna Maki, Tuna Sushi and Red Snapper Sushi.
A dedicated live sushi counter will form a key part of the experience. Diners will be able to watch the process closely as fish is sliced, rice is shaped and rolls are assembled by the chefs. The setup is intended to bring guests closer to the craft, precision and discipline involved in sushi preparation.
The three-day celebration also aims to make omakase-style dining more accessible. While the format is often associated with premium fine dining, Shiro is positioning the festival as an approachable introduction for both regular sushi lovers and first-time diners.
For many guests in Bengaluru, Shiro has been closely associated with the city’s early exposure to sushi and Pan-Asian dining. With this World Sushi Day experience, the restaurant is revisiting that legacy while offering diners a chance to explore Japanese culinary traditions in a relaxed and engaging setting.
The festival will be held at Shiro, UB City, from June 18 to 20, 2026, between 12 PM and 12 AM. Reservations can be made by calling 080 4173 8861.
