Oota has expanded its regional dining concept with the launch of a new restaurant in Hyderabad's Hitec City. Operated by Total Environment Hospitality, the restaurant showcases the culinary traditions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana through a menu inspired by Nizami cuisine, coastal Andhra flavours, Rayalaseema specialties, and Telangana comfort food.
The Hyderabad outlet has been conceived as a celebration of the region's diverse food heritage, bringing together recipes, ingredients, and culinary traditions from across both states. The concept builds on Oota's philosophy of presenting regional Indian cuisines through authentic storytelling and carefully curated dining experiences.
The menu features starters such as Shikampuri Kebabs, Nellore Fish Fry, and Bapatla Kodi Vepudu, while the mains include regional favourites such as Haleem-e-Khaas, Mudda Pappu with Pachi Pulusu, Naatu Kodi Pulusu, and Peethala Iguru. Traditional desserts including Bandar Halwa from Machilipatnam and Putharekulu from Atreyapuram further highlight the region's rich culinary heritage.
Complementing the food is a beverage programme featuring locally inspired cocktails such as Guntur Old Fashioned, Gongura Highball, and Khubani ki Mehfil. The offerings have been designed to reflect the flavours and ingredients associated with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Beyond the menu, the restaurant aims to introduce diners to the cultural influences that have shaped the cuisines of the region over generations. From royal Nizami cooking traditions to rustic home-style preparations and coastal specialties, the culinary programme reflects the depth and diversity of local food traditions.
Commenting on the launch, Kamal Sagar said that after exploring Karnataka's food traditions through Oota, expanding into the cuisines of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana was a natural progression for the brand. The Hyderabad outlet marks the company's continued focus on celebrating regional Indian food cultures through immersive dining experiences.
