Shiv Sagar Group has strengthened its presence in Pune with the launch of a new outlet in Kothrud, introducing a more experience-driven dining format while continuing the family-friendly hospitality that has defined the brand for decades. The opening marks Shiv Sagar’s third restaurant in Pune and takes its overall network to 17 outlets across Mumbai and Pune.
Located in one of Pune’s vibrant neighbourhoods, the new restaurant has been developed as a modern interpretation of the Shiv Sagar experience. Spread across a 10,000 sq. ft. bungalow with seating for 250 guests, the outlet spans three floors and combines contemporary design with spaces tailored for family dining, celebrations, and social gatherings.
The restaurant features a blend of indoor and alfresco seating, complemented by natural light, earthy textures, and nature-inspired artwork. To enhance guest engagement, interactive live stations serving favourites such as pav bhaji, dosas, and filter kaapi have been introduced. The menu has also been expanded with regional offerings including Mangalore Buns, Appe, and Golibajje, alongside new dishes inspired by India's diverse culinary traditions.
A dedicated banquet space has been incorporated for intimate celebrations, community gatherings, and special events, while valet parking and spacious seating layouts have been added to improve guest convenience. These additions reinforce the outlet’s positioning as a family-focused dining destination.
Commenting on the launch, Narayan Poojari, Chairman and Founder of Shiv Sagar Group, said the Kothrud outlet was created to reimagine the brand for modern diners while preserving its warmth and familiarity. He noted that the restaurant’s design, menu, and live dining elements were thoughtfully developed to reflect evolving consumer preferences while staying true to the essence of Shiv Sagar.
While the company’s Ubale Nagar location remains its largest restaurant in Pune, the Kothrud outlet has been positioned as one of Shiv Sagar’s most modern and experience-led destinations. The launch reflects the group’s continued focus on growth as it strengthens its footprint across Pune and Mumbai.
