AAMI Café & Bistro is now open in Candolim, Goa, bringing together all-day dining, heritage hospitality, and curated accommodation experiences within a restored Portuguese property. The new destination is designed around community, comfort, and mindful living, offering guests a space where food, culture, and slow travel are seamlessly connected.
Named after the Konkani word for “we,” the concept has been built around togetherness and shared experiences. Situated beside a Portuguese residence restored by the Lobo family, the property retains original architectural elements including laterite stone walls, terracotta-tiled roofs, skylights, high ceilings, and a traditional balcao-style veranda. Landscaping by Vintage Gardens and furnishings sourced from Pink Elephant contribute to the property's warm and welcoming character.
The culinary programme combines continental favourites, Thai-inspired dishes, and flavours influenced by Goa’s food culture. Breakfast offerings include Turkish Eggs, Eggs Benedict, Avocado Toast, Hawaiian-Style Breakfast, and Cinnamon Coffee French Toast, while the all-day menu features dishes such as Podi Calamari Rings, Chilli Lime Prawns, Chicken Satay, Thai Curry Bowls, Wild Mushroom Risotto, Grilled Lemon Herb Chicken with Pepper Sauce, and the signature AAMI Croissanwich. The beverage selection includes the Guava Chilli Martini, Espresso Spritz, Virgin Cosmopolitan, Apple Ginger Spritz, and AAMI Cold Coffee.
The property also features Airbnb accommodations and a restored heritage villa equipped with amenities including an indoor pool and media centre, catering to group retreats, weekend escapes, and extended stays. Collaborations with Mumbai-based TOISE Coffee and artisanal gelato brand Cream Choc further enhance the guest experience through specialty coffee and dessert offerings.
Rohit Lobo, Co-Founder of AAMI Café & Bistro, said the team aimed to create an experience that felt “quieter and more lasting,” drawing inspiration from Goa’s natural rhythm of life. Sudhir Lobo, Co-Founder of AAMI Café & Bistro, added that AAMI was conceived as a grounded, everyday space focused on comfort, connection, and a sense of belonging rather than occasion-driven dining.
