Airport-led hospitality infrastructure is being expanded in India through the launch of Maison Twenty-Seven, a new lifestyle destination developed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) in partnership with Bastian Hospitality. Located adjacent to Terminal 2 of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, the 52,000-square-foot project is being positioned as an integrated destination combining hospitality, wellness, dining, entertainment, and co-working experiences. The development forms part of AAHL’s broader strategy of transforming airports into mixed-use lifestyle ecosystems rather than standalone transit hubs.
A diverse range of facilities has been incorporated within the destination, including multiple dining venues, indoor and outdoor social spaces, family entertainment zones, gaming facilities, co-working areas, and wellness-focused amenities. Cryotherapy, sauna and steam facilities, plunge pools, flotation therapy, yoga studios, sound-healing spaces, fitness centres, salon services, Bastian Bakery, and a dedicated gifting section known as the Temptation Room have been included. Flexible access through reservations and curated day-pass programmes is also being offered, while AAHL’s Pranaam passenger services platform has been integrated to enhance the traveller experience.
The concept has been described by Ranjit Bindra, Founder of Bastian Hospitality, as a response to changing consumer lifestyles. Bindra stated that consumers increasingly “travel, work, recover and connect” in integrated environments and noted that Ahmedabad’s rapid growth alongside GIFT City made it an ideal location for the project. Shilpa Shetty, actor, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Bastian Hospitality, stated that wellness now “shapes how people travel and recharge” and said the destination had been designed to bring together hospitality, recovery, dining, and community experiences under one roof.
The launch is being viewed as part of a broader industry trend in which airport operators are investing in hospitality, retail, wellness, and lifestyle infrastructure to strengthen non-aeronautical revenues and improve passenger engagement. Arun Bansal, Chief Executive Officer of AAHL, stated that airports are becoming “dynamic lifestyle and social ecosystems” that extend beyond travel. Dinner services at Maison Twenty-Seven commenced on 21 May 2026, marking Bastian Hospitality’s entry into Ahmedabad and reinforcing the growing convergence of travel, hospitality, and wellness in India.
