Nandan Coffee’s Bengaluru flagship café is being positioned as a significant step in extending its farm-to-cup philosophy into an urban environment. The café has been launched at Embassy One on Bellary Road, where a three-generation legacy of single-origin coffee is being translated into a contemporary, experience-led format. A refined, coffee-first approach is being introduced to cater to Bengaluru’s evolving specialty coffee culture. The expansion is being viewed as a bridge between agricultural origin and modern consumption spaces.
The importance of this launch is being underscored by the brand’s continued emphasis on provenance, sustainability, and craftsmanship. It has been stated by Nandan Coffee that the initiative reflects its long-standing commitment to maintaining quality across every stage of coffee production. The move into Bengaluru is being aligned with increasing consumer interest in traceable and origin-driven coffee experiences.
The foundation of the brand has been traced back to the establishment of the Nandanvan Estate in Kodaikanal by Hansraj Mariwala and Hansa Mariwala more than three decades ago. A biodiverse coffee plantation was developed from previously unused land, where organic cultivation and environmental restoration were prioritised. It has been indicated that this estate continues to serve as the central source of the brand’s coffee.
Under the leadership of Yahvi Mariwala, Co-founder of Nandan Coffee, a balance between sustainability and modern consumer expectations has been maintained. Yahvi Mariwala, Co-founder of Nandan Coffee, said, “We grow, process, and roast our coffee ourselves.” It has been explained that this integrated approach supports consistency while strengthening the connection between origin and final consumption.
A multi-format coffee programme has been introduced at the Bengaluru café, where espresso-based drinks, manual brewing techniques, cold coffee taps, and filter coffee are being offered. An all-day dining menu inspired by Kodaikanal and Mumbai influences has also been included, alongside a pet-friendly concept featuring a dedicated menu. It has been noted that these elements are being combined to create a holistic café experience.
An experiential retail section has been incorporated within the space, where coffee blends, brewing equipment, ceramics, and curated chocolates are being made available. The café’s design has been developed to reflect the natural character of the Nandanvan Estate, blending sustainability with contemporary aesthetics.
Through this launch, a stronger connection between estate-grown coffee and urban consumers is being established, while a continued focus on sustainability, biodiversity, and community-driven practices is being reinforced.
