Maverick & Farmer has strengthened its presence in Bengaluru with the opening of its largest experience centre and café in Kothanur, North Bengaluru. Spread across 9,000 square feet, the new destination has been developed within a restored residence and brings together a live coffee roastery, café, coffee academy, retail store, and community-focused spaces under a single roof.
A key attraction of the new space is its live roastery, where coffee beans are roasted daily in full view of visitors. Maverick & Farmer sources Arabica and Robusta beans from estates across India, including its own Nellikad Estate in Coorg. The company is known for experimenting with processing techniques such as cold smoking, honey sun-drying, and fruit fermentations. Popular coffees in its portfolio include Parama, Sunkissed, Ol’ Smoky, and the Rohan Bopanna Masterblend. The café menu features a range of classic coffee preparations alongside signature beverages and an all-day dining selection.
Designed by Balan and Nambisan Architects, the multi-level facility includes flexible workspaces, a podcast studio, event areas, and a 100-seat community centre. The venue will host workshops, tastings, cultural events, and coffee education programmes aimed at building a stronger coffee community.
Speaking about the launch, Ashish D'abreo, Co-Founder, Q Grader and Coffee Roaster at Maverick & Farmer Coffee, said the Kothanur centre was created to bring people closer to the coffee-making process and offer a larger platform for exploration and discovery. Sreeram Gangadharan, Co-Founder of Maverick & Farmer Coffee, added that the new outlet was envisioned as a community-focused space where visitors could learn, connect, and spend meaningful time together.
With the addition of Kothanur, Maverick & Farmer now operates five cafés across Bengaluru, alongside two locations in Goa. The brand also continues to expand through hospitality partnerships, corporate collaborations, retail channels, and its direct-to-consumer online platform.
