Glenmorangie has strengthened its presence in India's premium whisky segment with the introduction of The Lasanta 15 Years Old, further expanding its range of aged single malt Scotch whiskies in the country. The launch reflects the growing demand among Indian consumers for mature expressions that offer greater complexity, craftsmanship and distinctive cask influences.

With the addition of The Lasanta 15 Years Old, Glenmorangie's age-statement portfolio in India now spans 12, 15 and 18 Years Old expressions. The expanded range is designed to provide consumers with a clearer progression through the brand's collection while catering to evolving preferences for richer and more sophisticated flavour profiles.

The new expression has been matured in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, a process that contributes additional depth and character to the whisky. Building on the original Lasanta style, the 15-year-old variant has been crafted to deliver a more layered and refined drinking experience.

The whisky presents notes of raisins, honey, toffee and clove, alongside subtle hints of cinnamon derived from its sherry cask maturation. It is produced using Glenmorangie's signature stills, which are among the tallest in Scotland and are known for creating a lighter, fruit-forward spirit character.

Commenting on the launch, Bill Lumsden, Director of Whisky Creation at Glenmorangie, said the extended maturation period and revised cask composition were intended to enhance the whisky's balance, elegance and complexity. He noted that the expression was designed to capture the warmth and richness associated with a sunset while offering a more refined interpretation of the original Lasanta.

Smriti Sekhsaria, Marketing Director at Moët Hennessy India, said the launch represents an important addition to Glenmorangie's aged whisky portfolio in the country. According to her, the new expression allows consumers to explore a more defined journey across the brand's range while addressing increasing interest in whiskies with deeper flavour profiles and stronger cask influence.

The introduction comes at a time when India's premium spirits market continues to evolve. Consumers are showing greater interest in product provenance, maturation methods and curated tasting experiences, prompting luxury spirits brands to broaden their portfolios with more specialised offerings. Hotels, fine-dining establishments and premium bars have also expanded their whisky selections to meet growing demand from enthusiasts seeking aged and collectible expressions.

Glenmorangie The Lasanta 15 Years Old became available across select outlets in India from June 8, 2026. The expression is priced at ₹9,601 in Mumbai, ₹6,540 in Delhi and ₹7,370 in Bengaluru.

The launch further highlights the ongoing premiumisation trend within India's alcoholic beverage industry, where international brands continue to invest in higher-age-statement products to capture the attention of increasingly discerning consumers.
