Carib Premium Strong Beer is being positioned in India through cricket, Caribbean culture, and a Uttar Pradesh-first market strategy. The Trinidad and Tobago beer brand’s India push is being strengthened through the onboarding of Nicholas Pooran and Dwayne Bravo as global brand ambassadors at a Lucknow event, according to Carib Brewery and media reports. The association is being shaped around the 2026 Indian Premier League season, where Pooran is linked with Lucknow Super Giants and Bravo is associated with Kolkata Knight Riders as mentor.

The India entry has been led through Globus ANSA Private Limited, a joint venture between ANSA McAL Limited and Globus Spirits Limited. Globus Spirits stated in its FY25 investor presentation that commercial production of Carib Premium Strong Beer in 500 ml cans had begun in Uttar Pradesh on 5 May 2025, with the product priced at ₹130 per can. The rollout has been reported across Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj, making Uttar Pradesh the brand’s first major Indian market.

The ambassador launch has been framed by Carib Brewery as a cultural bridge between the Caribbean and India. Adrian Sabga, Managing Director, International and Business Development at Carib Brewery, said the India move had been considered the brand’s boldest international step. Antron Forte, Head of Brand Marketing at Carib Brewery, stated that the partnership was being built around cricket and Carnival, two cultural pillars strongly associated with the brand. Shekhar Swarup, Joint Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Globus Spirits Limited, stated that the partnership was intended to help Carib build relevance in India’s beer market through cricket-led visibility.

The product has been described by the company as an 8% alcohol-by-volume full-bodied lager with a medium body and crisp finish. Its India proposition, “When It Comes Alive,” is being used to place the beer within social occasions such as cricket gatherings, food-led celebrations, and spontaneous get-togethers.
