Flora is set to open this summer at Santana Row, introducing a new all-day restaurant and bar concept focused on California cuisine, craft cocktails, and indoor-outdoor dining experiences. The restaurant will take over the former location of Rosie McCann’s Irish Pub & Restaurant, which concluded operations in 2024 after serving the district for nearly two decades. The project is being developed by hospitality professionals Danny Shafazand, Russ Fukushima, and Jameson Parvizad, marking their first collaboration together.
The dining concept has been designed to transition from brunch and lunch service into dinner and late-night operations, with weekend service planned until 2 a.m. The menu will feature California-inspired dishes prepared with seasonal ingredients alongside a beverage programme centred on modern cocktails and non-alcoholic offerings. The restaurant’s culinary direction is being developed around a concise menu format intended to support all-day dining and social hospitality experiences.
Flora’s interiors are being reimagined by Basile Studio, the design firm known for hospitality projects including Raised by Wolves and Kindred. The redesigned space will incorporate a wraparound indoor-outdoor bar, layered lighting concepts, floral installations, and plant-focused design elements intended to create distinct transitions between daytime dining and evening service. Music programming and late-night entertainment components are also expected to form part of the overall guest experience.
The opening of Flora reflects the continued evolution of Santana Row’s hospitality and dining landscape, where experiential restaurant concepts and hybrid social venues continue to expand. By combining California cuisine, elevated design, and extended operating hours, Flora is expected to strengthen the district’s position as a destination for dining, nightlife, and lifestyle-focused experiences in San Jose.
