Oye Kake has been launched in Bengaluru with its first outlet on MG Road, marking the all-vegetarian Amritsari brand’s entry into a key metro market. The outlet was opened on 30 April 2026 by the Mumbai-based concept founded by Pankaj Gupta and Avinash Gupta under Flavour Pot Foods, following its earlier expansion into Hyderabad.
The Bengaluru launch is positioned around a 100 percent vegetarian Amritsari menu inspired by langar traditions, street food, and home-style cooking. Founder Pankaj Gupta stated that Bengaluru had long been part of the brand’s expansion plans, supported by growing demand for authentic regional Punjabi food. The menu features kulchas, chaats, tandoor appetisers, and slow-cooked gravies, designed for group dining and repeat visits.
Kitchen operations are being led by Amritsari-trained Ustaads, with an emphasis on traditional techniques such as tandoor cooking, hand-ground spices, and the use of clay and iron cookware. Brand Chef Varun Singh noted that the focus remains on preserving the original character of the cuisine rather than introducing modern reinterpretations.
The restaurant also introduces experience-led formats, including a weekend desi ghee breakfast and the Guru Seva Ki Thali, an unlimited Thursday meal inspired by the Sikh principle of seva. The space has been designed by RAD Co + Lab with phulkari-inspired elements, khaat-style seating, and a terracotta pot installation reflecting regional influences.
With a second outlet planned in Bellandur, the brand’s Bengaluru debut reflects a broader trend of focused regional dining formats expanding into urban markets.
