Worli’s culinary and nightlife scene just got a major upgrade with the arrival of One8 Commune, the latest addition to the brand’s growing presence across India. Co-owned by cricket star Virat Kohli along with Vartik Tihara, Anshul Goel, and Ankit Tayal, the restaurant is not just another high-end eatery — it’s an experience built on intent, texture, and rhythm.
The space, sprawling across 3,800 sq. ft., has been designed by Aayushi Malik, who has created an environment that feels both intimate and expansive. There’s no reliance on natural light here — instead, warm glows and deep shadows shape the ambience. The marble veining, the gentle curves, the quiet gold of aged brass, and the softness of velvet come together to wrap guests in a cocoon of understated luxury.
At the centre is a bustling bar, exuding the kind of relaxed energy that encourages conversation. But if you step beyond, you’ll find a more reserved area — a plush lounge meant for those long, late-night cocktails and quieter moments. It doesn’t try to dominate the senses, yet somehow, it holds you there — engaged, curious, and at ease.
The menu is where personality really comes alive. Influenced by Kohli’s own palate, the dishes blend Indian familiarity with global technique. Expect comfort and creativity in equal measure — Gochujang Wontons with a spicy-sweet hit, Thecha Fish Roulade nodding to regional Indian spice, and a playful Butter Chicken Bombolini that defies expectations. Sweet endings like the XO Chocolate Truffle and the whimsical Cherry Shot Cake are crafted to bring surprise and delight.
While the food holds its own, the cocktails — curated by Countertop — are the soul of the space. Their approach is clear: blend technique with approachability. The result? A cocktail menu that’s as inventive as it is inviting, perfect for casual drinkers and connoisseurs alike.
