403 Forbidden Bar is set to transform its space into a matcha-led cocktail playground on May 10, 2026, as part of its Override DAYSHIFT series. The one-day collaboration with Sakura Matcha Bar and mixologist Aman Dua is expected to bring together ceremonial Japanese matcha and experimental cocktail culture in a relaxed daytime format designed for guests looking for something unconventional yet approachable.
The event marks the first time that Sakura Matcha Bar’s café-style experience is being extended into a cocktail bar environment. Founded by Yashvika V, the brand has developed a strong following through its focus on slow, ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha and a philosophy rooted in mindfulness and craftsmanship. Through this collaboration, that experience is being adapted into a more immersive beverage-led format.
A specially curated drinks menu is expected to feature matcha martinis, tea-forward highballs, creamy foams, and nitro-inspired creations. The cocktails are being developed by Aman Dua in collaboration with the 403 Code.Lab team, with an emphasis on balancing experimentation with drinkability. The earthy bitterness of matcha is being paired with spirits to create cocktails that feel layered, smooth, and easy to revisit.
The pop-up is being positioned as a relaxed social experience rather than a high-energy nightlife event. A more intimate daytime atmosphere is expected to be maintained, allowing guests to engage with flavours, textures, and preparation techniques in a slower and more conversational setting.
The event will be hosted at 403 Forbidden Bar on May 10, 2026, between 12:30 PM and 4:00 PM. Entry pricing has been set at INR 999 onwards, with the limited-hour format intended to maintain the exclusivity of the experience.
