Zomato is expanding its presence in the healthy food delivery space with the launch of Healthy Subscriptions, a new offering under its Healthy Mode category. The service has been introduced in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, allowing users to sign up for structured meal plans from health-focused restaurant partners. The move reflects the growing demand for protein-rich and wellness-oriented meals among urban consumers.

Subscribers can choose from three-day, five-day, or fifteen-day plans, with per-meal pricing starting at around ₹250 under the longest-duration option. Lunch and dinner subscriptions are being offered separately, while flexibility is being provided through meal customisation, dish swaps, and delivery rescheduling. Users completing their first subscription plan will also receive a complimentary one-month Cult Elite membership.

The initiative builds on the momentum of Healthy Mode, which was launched in October 2024. Sahibjeet Singh Sawhney, Head of Marketing at Zomato, stated that the category had generated “more than 10 million orders” since launch, with many customers continuing to use it as a preferred ordering option.

The launch also marks Zomato’s return to the organised meal segment following the discontinuation of Zomato Everyday in 2025. Unlike its earlier home-style meal offering, Healthy Subscriptions is being positioned around long-term wellness, nutrition, and convenience.

Competition in the category continues to intensify. Swiggy’s EatRight platform offers healthier meal choices across more than 50 cities, while specialised players such as FoodDarzee and EatFit remain focused on personalised nutrition and diet-based meal plans. As health-conscious eating gains traction, structured meal subscriptions are increasingly being viewed as a growing opportunity within India’s food delivery market.
