Mount Everest Breweries Ltd has entered Andhra Pradesh with its premium beer brands Stok and Lemount, marking the company’s presence in its 14th operational market. The Associated Kedia Group company has stated that the move is being made as part of its plan to expand across 20 Indian states by the end of financial year 2025–26. The brewery has also stated that a 10 per cent share of India’s beer market is being targeted by 2029.

Andhra Pradesh is being viewed by Mount Everest Breweries Ltd as a strategic southern market because of its growing consumer base and expanding beer demand. The company has noted that regulatory developments introduced by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2024, including the new liquor policy and the planned rollout of 3,736 retail outlets, have created stronger market potential for beer brands in the state. The company’s recently acquired Mysore brewery in Karnataka is expected to support supply efficiency and product freshness across the region.

Stok, the flagship premium beer brand of Mount Everest Breweries Ltd, is being positioned around the lifestyle idea of relaxed and social drinking through its #LiveTheChill philosophy. The brand is being aimed at younger consumers across urban and semi-urban markets in Andhra Pradesh. Lemount will also be introduced as part of the company’s premium portfolio in the state.

Vedant Kedia, Whole Time Director, Mount Everest Breweries Ltd, said that Andhra Pradesh had been identified as a natural and strategic step in the company’s South India growth journey. He added that the Mysore brewery would provide a strong supply chain base for delivering fresh and high-quality products. According to Vedant Kedia, the company is looking forward to bringing Stok and Lemount to consumers in Andhra Pradesh.

The products will be made available through retail outlets as well as the HoReCa segment, which includes hotels, restaurants and cafés. Brand visibility, marketing initiatives and consistent availability are expected to be prioritised by the company during the launch phase. The Andhra Pradesh entry is being positioned as a key pillar in Mount Everest Breweries Ltd’s wider plan to build a pan-India beer business.
