The Popeyes India campaign is being launched in South India, with Rashmika Mandanna introduced as the face of the brand in India. The campaign is being positioned around bold Cajun-inspired flavours, highlighted through the message “Boring Hatao. Bold Ko Laao,” signalling a strategic shift towards stronger and more distinctive taste profiles. South India is being identified as the brand’s largest market, where operations are currently being managed by Jubilant FoodWorks with 48 outlets. A focused regional rollout is being undertaken to strengthen brand visibility and consumer engagement.

A flavour-led positioning is being emphasised as central to the campaign strategy. It has been stated by Vibhor Gupta, Executive Vice President and Business Head of Popeyes India, that the campaign marks a key milestone in the brand’s expansion journey in the country. A continued focus is being placed on differentiation through bold flavours and a youthful identity as the brand scales its presence across markets. This approach is being aligned with evolving consumer preferences, particularly in urban regions where global quick-service formats are gaining traction.

The association with Rashmika Mandanna is being positioned as a move to enhance cultural relevance and relatability. Her public persona is being aligned with the campaign’s energetic and contemporary tone, helping the brand connect with a younger audience segment. The collaboration is being leveraged to build stronger recall and engagement in a competitive quick-service restaurant landscape.

A 360-degree media rollout is being implemented across television and digital platforms in South India. It has been indicated that a phased national expansion is being planned in the coming months, allowing the campaign to scale beyond regional markets. This structured rollout is being designed to build awareness progressively while maintaining a strong regional foundation.

The brand’s product philosophy is also being reinforced as part of the campaign narrative. Popeyes is globally recognised for its Louisiana-style preparation methods, where offerings are made using fresh ingredients, hand-battered and hand-breaded techniques, and marinated in Cajun spices. The India menu includes the Chicken Sandwich, Signature Fried Chicken, Chicken Wings, Boneless
