A serene lakeside sanctuary has been unveiled in Pune: The Lakehouse, Amanora. The venue has been introduced as the first restaurant in the city to be entirely surrounded by its own private lake, situated within Amanora Park Town, near Magarpatta Road in Hadapsar. Spanning roughly 10,000 sq ft, the space has been carefully designed to accommodate up to 225 guests across multiple zones, each intended to evoke a sense of stillness and comfort.
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by a waterside alfresco deck that is bathed in gentle sunlight and breezes. It has been crafted to support slow lunches and golden-hour drinks, where time is encouraged to stretch and conversations to linger. Within, a cozy lounge has been created to envelop diners in warmth—making it ideal for lingering dinners and heartfelt dialogue. A bar has been included with high stools and sweeping views of the lake, meant for vibrant evenings and artfully poured cocktails.
The interior design has been realized by F’KD Studios under the direction of architect Faizan Khatri. Calm, reflective surfaces and softly curving lines have been employed to channel the ambience of lakeside escapes. The space has been described as one where soft lighting cradles each table, and where even the weight of the glass gently reminds guests to slow down and savor the moment.
The menu has been conceived with a focus on seasonal ingredients and global techniques, resulting in dishes described as soulful yet refined. House-made elements have been incorporated into plates that are both grounded in local produce and elevated by international flair. Similarly, the drinks program has been conceived to reflect the same thoughtful balance: botanical foundations, elemental clarity, and architectural precision have been used to compose cocktails that feel deeply rooted in nature and composed with quiet sophistication.
It has been emphasized by founders Aditya Deshpande and Amanora Park Town that the name Lakehouse has been chosen to resonate beyond its physical setting. It is intended to evoke emotional resonance—the slow, unhurried charm of lakeside retreats where conversations deepen and life’s pace slows. According to a release, the venue has been envisioned as “an invitation to pause, where time slows down, stories are shared, and meals turn into memories.”
For food lovers seeking more than just a meal, The Lakehouse, Amanora has been positioned as a place to unwind in style. Its lakeside setting, curated ambience, and thoughtfully crafted menu have been presented as a welcoming space to slow down, connect, and create lasting memories—whether over a sunset drink or a relaxed weekend brunch. The restaurant has certainly redefined lake-view dining in Pune, making it as much a destination for reflection and connection as for culinary delight.
