A significant expansion milestone was recorded by Starbucks in India with the opening of its 500th outlet, which was inaugurated on 23 November 2025 on Golf Course Road in Gurgaon. The launch of this Starbucks Reserve store was regarded as a notable achievement in the brand’s journey of growth since its entry into the Indian market in 2012.
The development was described by industry observers as an important moment in the company’s ongoing strategy to strengthen its premium coffee presence across the country. It was indicated that the accomplishment had been attributed to the brand’s sustained focus on craftsmanship, community connection, and customer engagement. The milestone was also acknowledged by Shireesh Khare, Head Projects at Tata Starbucks, whose reflections were shared through internal communications. It was mentioned that he referred to the achievement as “a celebration shaped by passion, craft, and meaningful interactions,” and that appreciation had been expressed towards partners, customers, and stakeholders for their long-term support.
The new outlet was designed with an emphasis on luxury and artistry, as highlighted through its premium interiors and a detailed bas-relief artwork illustrating coffee farms. This creative element was viewed as a tribute to the origins and people associated with Reserve-quality coffee.
A prominent feature of the store was reported to be the Reserve Bar, where small-lot, single-origin coffees were offered using specialised brewing techniques such as Pour Over, Chemex, and Siphon. The outlet was also identified as the first in India to feature the Ovisio brewing machine, which was described as a visually striking representation of innovation and design.
In addition to the Reserve Bar, a Core Bar was incorporated to serve classic Starbucks beverages along with rotating seasonal options. The introduction of Starbucks Reserve® Zero Proof Cocktails was noted as a distinctive addition to the menu, offering alcohol-free beverages crafted with a coffee-forward approach.
The milestone was ultimately positioned as both a celebration of past accomplishments and a signal of future ambitions. It was conveyed that the company’s leadership viewed this achievement as a stepping stone toward continued expansion and deeper connections with coffee enthusiasts across India.
