Licious, widely recognised as one of India’s leading direct-to-consumer meat and seafood brands, has expanded its offline presence with the opening of its flagship retail outlet in HSR Layout, Bengaluru. The new store, spread across nearly 2,000 square feet, has been positioned as the company’s largest meat retail destination in the city. A premium shopping experience has been introduced for customers visiting the outlet, while the location has also been developed to serve as an efficient fulfilment hub for nearby areas.
The store has been established at Sri Sai Arcade on 24th Main Road in HSR Layout, and the launch has been described as an important milestone in the brand’s broader retail growth strategy. Through this new format, Licious’ strengths in sourcing, innovation, and customer service have been brought together under one roof. A seamless blend of offline shopping and online convenience has been created, with 15-minute delivery services being enabled across the HSR neighbourhood. This hybrid model has been used to reinforce the company’s ambition of building a connected and high-efficiency retail ecosystem.
It was stated by R Chandramohan, Senior Vice President - Offline Business, Licious, that consumers’ experience of meat and seafood was being continuously reimagined by the brand. He was quoted as saying that with the flagship store, “the complete Licious experience” was being brought closer to customers through a mix of a premium in-store setting and the speed and dependability of its digital platform. It was further shared by him that the launch reflected a larger vision in which modern meat and seafood destinations were being built around trust, innovation, and customer-centricity.
An extensive range of products has been made available at the outlet, with over 100 SKUs being offered. Fresh chicken, mutton, and a broad assortment of freshwater and seawater fish have been included in the selection. A diverse ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat range has also been introduced, featuring items such as momos, kebabs, crispies, and more. The portfolio has been curated in line with the varied culinary tastes and household demands of the HSR community, and the outlet has been positioned as a one-stop destination for meat and seafood needs.
Strong emphasis has continued to be placed on freshness, hygiene, and quality. It has been highlighted that all products sold at the store are fresh and chilled, with consistency and taste being prioritised. Responsible and sustainable sourcing practices have also been maintained, in keeping with the standards associated with the Licious brand.
The in-store experience has been enhanced through international-standard visual merchandising, and a clean, premium, and modern atmosphere has been created for shoppers. Support has also been made available through trained Meat Experts, by whom assistance with product choice and customised cuts for specific cooking needs is being provided.
With the HSR flagship launch, new standards in meat and seafood retail are being set by Licious. The expansion has also been aligned with shifting consumer demand, especially as newer ready-to-cook offerings such as momos have recently been added to the brand’s portfolio. Overall, the opening has been positioned as another major step in the company’s effort to reshape meat retail in India through convenience, quality, and innovation.
