A new sports-led hospitality destination is being introduced in Pune with the opening of Aufside sports bar at Millennium Club in Wakad, where it is being positioned as the city’s highest sports bar and beer garden. The concept is being developed as an integrated ecosystem that brings together sporting infrastructure, food and beverage offerings, and social engagement within a single venue. The project is being powered by Ileseum Clubs in partnership with the Phoenix Group, reflecting a broader shift toward experience-driven formats in India’s urban leisure market.
A multi-level infrastructure is being utilised to deliver distinct yet interconnected experiences across the property. It has been detailed that the ground floor accommodates a pool alongside the Aufside Café, while upper floors are being used for sports facilities including squash, basketball, billiards, and fitness zones. A terrace-level beer garden has been incorporated with pickleball courts, and the sixth floor has been designated as the central attraction, where the Aufside Sports Bar & Restaurant is being positioned among the longest sports bars in India.
The strategic intent behind the concept has been outlined by Pranav Trehan, who stated that the Pune launch represents a move toward creating premium, experience-led sports destinations. He said, “We’re building ecosystems where sport becomes a shared cultural moment.” It was further indicated that the integration of sport with hospitality is being designed to reshape how communities interact with social and recreational spaces in urban India.
The food programme has been developed by Chef Kuldeep in collaboration with Pranav Trehan, with a focus on bold, widely appealing flavours. It has been reported that the menu includes offerings such as Guntur Chicken, Lotus Stem Chips with Guacamole, Souvlaki Chicken, Mutton & Mushroom Galoutis, alongside pizzas, tandoori preparations, and Koliwada Prawns, aligning with contemporary bar dining preferences.
The beverage programme has been curated under the direction of Sachin, where an emphasis has been placed on balancing innovation with accessibility. Signature cocktails such as Crimson Kick, Puneri Aamchur Sour, Striker’s Mash, and Teagroni have been introduced, reflecting a mixology-driven approach designed to appeal to both experienced and emerging consumers.
The broader category vision has been articulated by Pavit Singh, who stated that Millennium Club Wakad represents a convergence of world-class sports infrastructure with culture and hospitality. He said, “We are building a category India has never seen before,” highlighting a long-term ambition to redefine how social sports destinations are developed in the country.
It has been indicated that Aufside is being positioned as more than a standalone venue, with plans underway to build a wider network of community-focused social spaces across India. Existing locations in Solapur and Navi Mumbai have been referenced as part of this expansion strategy, while the Wakad launch is being described as the brand’s most ambitious development to date and a blueprint for future growth.
