A new café-format concept by Domino’s has been introduced in India, marking a strategic expansion beyond its traditional quick-service restaurant model. The concept, named ‘Cafe Domino’s’, has been launched at Advant IT Park in Sector 142, Noida, and is being positioned as an entry into the café and beverage segment.

The format has been developed to extend the brand’s offerings beyond its core pizza menu. A greater emphasis has been placed on beverages, light snacks, and quick-service dining experiences. The outlet has been designed to cater to short-duration visits, including informal meetings, work breaks, and casual interactions. This shift is seen as part of a broader attempt to align with evolving consumer preferences in urban markets.

The initiative has been undertaken by Jubilant FoodWorks, which operates Domino’s in India. A significant footprint has already been established by the company, with 2,455 outlets reported across the country as of 2026. The addition of a café-style format has been viewed as an expansion within its existing quick-service restaurant portfolio.

Recent financial performance has also reflected growth momentum. Consolidated revenue of ₹2,505.8 crore has been reported for the latest quarter, representing a 19% increase on a year-on-year basis. This performance has been interpreted as an indicator of sustained demand and operational scaling.

The launch of ‘Cafe Domino’s’ has been positioned as part of a broader diversification strategy, with a focus on capturing new consumption occasions and enhancing in-store experiences. Plans for additional outlets under this format have also been indicated, suggesting a potential expansion in the near future.

In a separate development, a strategic decision has been announced by Jubilant FoodWorks regarding its association with Dunkin'. It has been confirmed that the franchise agreement will not be renewed upon its expiry in December 2026. This move has been attributed to a period of underperformance of the brand within the Indian market.

Overall, a shift in format strategy has been signalled, with a stronger focus being placed on evolving consumer behaviour and experience-led dining formats.
